Meetings are regular and informal gatherings of like-minded and recovering alcoholics. The format may vary from group to group but all generally encourage the orderly sharing of thoughts on what we used to be like, what happened, and what we are like now. The groups are self-funded but donations and sharing for that matter are NOT mandatory. If you are new to AA, feel free to visit several different groups to see what works for you.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
